These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to every order placed with Alma Sereen through almasereen.com. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms. We've written them as plainly as possible — but they are legally binding.
These Terms apply to every offer on our website and every contract concluded between Alma Sereen and a customer. The most recent version of the Terms applies at the moment you place your order. You can save or print these Terms from this page.
Where these Terms conflict with Dutch consumer law in your favour, the more protective rule applies.
Our product pages describe each oil clearly, with ingredients, size, and price. We do our best to use accurate photography, but slight differences in colour or texture (especially for our natural oils that change with temperature) may occur. These differences are not a defect.
Offers are valid while stock lasts. Pricing or stock errors on the website are not binding — if such an error occurs, we will contact you before processing the order.
A contract is formed when:
You will receive a copy of these Terms with your order confirmation.
All prices on the website are in euros (€) and include 21% Dutch BTW (VAT). Shipping is shown separately at checkout. We do not change the price of an order once it has been confirmed.
We accept iDEAL and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard). Payments are processed by Stripe, our PCI-DSS certified payment partner. We never see or store your full payment details.
Your order is shipped once payment is successfully received.
We currently ship within The Netherlands only, through PostNL.
If your order has not arrived within 30 calendar days, contact us and we'll resolve it (replacement or refund, your choice). For full shipping details, see our Shipping & Returns page.
Under EU consumer law, you have 14 calendar days from the moment you receive your order to change your mind, without giving a reason. This is called the herroepingsrecht.
To exercise this right, send us an email within 14 days of delivery — or use the model withdrawal form. You then have 14 more days to return the product. We refund the full amount (product + original shipping) within 14 days of receiving the returned product, using the same payment method you used.
You bear the cost of return shipping unless the product was defective on arrival.
Cosmetic products that have been opened or whose hygiene seal has been broken cannot be returned, in line with Article 6:230p sub f of the Dutch Civil Code (BW) and Article 16(e) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.
This is a hygiene and safety rule — not a way for us to avoid returns. Sealed and unopened bottles can be returned within 14 days as described above.
We recommend doing a patch test 24 hours before first use (apply a drop behind the ear, wait 24 hours, check for any reaction). If you have any concerns about the product or ingredients before opening, contact us at info@almasereen.com and we will help.
You are entitled to a product that conforms to the contract — meaning it matches the description on our website, works as described, and is of the quality you can reasonably expect from a natural cosmetic product.
If a product is defective, damaged on arrival, or otherwise non-conforming, contact us within a reasonable period (and at the latest within 2 months of discovery) at info@almasereen.com. We will offer a replacement, repair, or full refund, at no cost to you.
Statutory consumer rights under Dutch and EU law remain unaffected by these Terms.
We want every Alma Sereen experience to be a good one. If something isn't right, please email info@almasereen.com within a reasonable time after discovering the issue, describing the problem as fully as possible.
We respond within 7 business days. If we cannot resolve the complaint together, you may submit it to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
Our liability for damages arising from the use of our products is limited to the value of the order, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on our part. We are not liable for damages caused by improper use or by an undisclosed allergy. We strongly recommend doing a patch test before first use.
Our products contain natural ingredients and essential oils that may not be suitable for everyone. They are not intended for use during pregnancy or by children without medical advice. If you experience any reaction, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
Alongside one-time purchases, we offer an optional monthly subscription: you receive one 30 ml bottle of Alma Sereen Nourishing each month, with free shipping, for a recurring fee of €17, including 21% BTW. The subscription continues until you cancel it.
Billing. The first payment is taken when you subscribe, and each following payment is taken automatically on the same date each month. We dispatch your bottles after each successful payment. If you pay by iDEAL, the first payment is made by iDEAL and a SEPA Direct Debit mandate is set up for the following months; you authorise these recurring payments when you subscribe.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time — through the customer portal linked in your confirmation and invoice emails, or by emailing info@almasereen.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for: you keep the bottles already paid for and shipped, you are not charged again, and no further bottles are sent. We do not refund a month that has already been paid and shipped.
Price changes. If we change the subscription price, we will tell you by email in advance. A new price only applies to payments after the change, and you are free to cancel before it takes effect.
Right of withdrawal. Your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (section 8) applies to your first delivery, subject to the hygiene exception for opened cosmetics (section 9). Cancelling future deliveries of a subscription is governed by this section.
These Terms and any contract concluded with Alma Sereen are governed by Dutch law. Disputes that cannot be resolved together will be settled by the competent court in Zeeland-West-Brabant, The Netherlands.
If any clause of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining clauses continue to apply.
